I recently asked our private Whole Life Entrepreneurship group in which area they tended to spend the most time, money, and energy: professional development, personal development, or relationship development.
It seems most of us tend to put a lot into our work and ourselves, but trust that our relationships will take care of themselves.
It’s completely natural, really. Our spouses and partners have vowed to accept us at our worst and at our best, so it’s easy to neglect that area a little.
But, it’s a dangerous game to play in the entrepreneurial lifestyle.
It’s too easy to let our relationships get away from us.
Then it’s nearly impossible to get them back.
Now, this is not the case for everyone. Some folks struggle more with self-care.
The point is that imbalance is a real problem that most all of us experience at one time or another.
There are tons of resources on how to strengthen your business and an entire industry based on self improvement. Heck, the relationship enhancement biz is pretty fleshed out too.
But the imbalance thing is still a huge issue.
Why do we tend to be so singularly minded in one area or another?
How do we zoom out on our entire lives and get a bigger picture view of how all these things tie together?
How do we get an understanding of the full effects, benefits and consequences of our choices on the other areas without this expanded perspective?
Does this show a lack of commitment on our part?
Does it prove that we are too heavily weighted in some areas than in others?
Does it mean we don’t care enough about something to maintain it?
NO! I really don’t believe that to be true.
It just means that up until this point there has been no one resource that endeavored to recognize and landscape this issue to include all areas of life.
Well, now there is. WE are committed to being a platform from which really smart people can bring their expertise to the people who really need it–entrepreneurial families.
In September, we held our very first Virtual Summit, and it won’t be the last.
This is just the beginning of what WLE intends to become in order to be the support system that Adam and I never had.
If you missed the summit there is still time to grab the bundle, custom-made for the business-owning couple.
Or, maybe you did get a chance to watch and know someone else who could really benefit from these resources, the way Adam and I have.
Our hope for WLE is that its message is a life raft for struggling couples who just need to know they’re not alone on this journey.
If that resonates with you and you don’t know what to do next, just set up a call with Adam and me.
There are lots of options for you. We can help you see a future full of hope for true wholeness.
We have a seat in our boat with your name on it!
